In an interview with Peter Guber, author of Tell To Win, Hall of Famer Coach Pat Riley made the following observation, "There is a difference between having a good game and having game excellence." He went on to talk about how players like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird had game excellence. Those players turned in excellent games night after night.
Their game excellence started in practice, yes Allen Iverson, practice. To be a winner in life, and a person that experiences victory after victory, you must Plan, Prepare and Perform to win everyday. Have you ever observed that you PRACTICE more hours than the game itself? I invest hours some time crafting a one hour presentation.
Winning takes a will to do the little things over and over and over again, every day. Building momentum and gaining expertise in what you are doing. I have a little saying with my clients, I tell them to commit to MSID, "Make Small Improvements Daily."
I live by the training philosophy, every day I'm training, so at the end of each day, I review my training to correct, improve and enforce what I have done right or wrong.
So today commit to MSID and daily reviews of your activities.
